A week prior to the release of his long awaited project, J-Rel alongside Boogie and DJ OK host a private listening event on the Rooftop of Penthouse Studios in Atlanta, Ga to over 100 guests on July 1st.
On a day noted for temperatures over 110 degrees, the sun set, and city breeze began to pick up for what seemed to be perfect timing as guest began to pour onto the studio's rooftop.
With DJ OK on the wheels, Boogie opened the event welcoming everyone out, giving guest a brief history on how he played a vital part in how the Rel Road began, before handing the microphone to J-Rel. The emcee provided guest with all the trials and setback endured prior to the cd’s release, stating that “I feel its important that people know what it took to get here, and know the ingredients to putting together a quality project.”
There isn’t a secret as to what song out shined every other record on Rel Road Sunday night, the crowd clearly fell in love with the track “Pretty Girl” Ft. Renard Uberwood, demanding that the DJ run it back several times, before moving on with the CD. “That record gives good energy, it feels good, it sounds good, and wait until you see the video, it looks good. Its definitely that song chicks stand in the mirror and get dressed to before heading to work or to the club.” J-Rel stated.
All guest were provided with the hard copy of Rel Road, if you weren’t in attendance fret not. Rel Road will be available for download Sunday July, 8th on online media outlets such as iTunes, DatPiff, and HotNewHipHop.com
