Friday July 27th J-Rel took the stage in Marshallville, Ga for the Rise Above Concert, except this time J-Rel delivered more than music to his fans.

Annually the city of Marshallville hosts the Crape Myrtle Festival, a city wide festival promoting local vendors, providing food, fun, and entertainment for it’s citizens of all ages. This year J-Rel teamed up with Image Management and presented the city with a back to school supply give-a-way, and a back to school concert featuring some of the area’s best local talent.

“It feels good, seeing all these kids with all of these smiles on their faces, it means the world to me, independent artists just weren’t doing all of this when I was coming up.” stated J-Rel. Hundreds of citizens filled the streets of the Central Georgia city, trying to get their children school supplies and to get a good glance at the rising talent that was taking the stage. J-Rel vowed “I am all about giving back, so I will be back for next year’s festival, and we’ll do that one bigger than this one.”
